Probiotic Reef Salt Bucket 22kg
Fully synthetic sea salt, created with coral farms in mind. The composition of the salt has been designed to create the best conditions for marine animals. It contains micro- and macro-elements that satisfy all the elements that corals need for their proper growth and coloration. In addition, the addition of probiotics positively affects the reduction of nitrates and phosphates while slowing down the development of pathogenic microorganisms in marine aquariums.
Seawater freshly prepared by dissolving salt can be immediately used for a partial water change. For the launch of a new aquarium, we advise to put the first animals in it only after 10-14 days from its filling.
Salt contains bromides found in natural seawater, which is why it is not recommended for ozone filter systems. If you use an ionizer, we recommend Reef Salt Aquaforest. Due to the presence of probiotics, it is advisable to keep the level of carbonate hardness dKH between 6.5 and 8.0.
Probiotic Reef Salt contains vitamins and amino acids.
A higher level can adversely affect the condition of SPS corals.
Method of preparation: the salt must be dissolved in previously prepared demineralised water. The water temperature should be around 24°C (75°F). To obtain a salinity of 34 PSU (~1.025 SG), approximately 3.8 kg (8.4 lbs) of salt must be dissolved in 100 l (22 US gal.) of water. The solution should be vigorously mixed for about 15 min. Once dissolved, the salty water is ready for use.
Salt should be kept in a dry place, away from light and moisture. Dissolved salt should be used within 48 hours.
Keep out of reach of children. To be used only for aquariums. Cannot be consumed by humans.
