Zooplankton is an essential building block of a healthy reef. These organisms consume planktonic algae and transfer energy to invertebrates, fish and corals. In doing so, they effectively aid in increasing clarity of your aquarium's water column.

Zooplankton also aids in facilitating your reef's nutrient breakdown through consuming the tiny particles left behind from the clean-up crew. The dissolved organic matter created by Zooplankton is then utilized in the aquarium's microbial cycle.
